Room on the Broom
High in the sky, under a blanket of twinkling stars, a cozy yet slightly eerie forest nestled in the distance. In this enchanted woodland, lived a kindly witch with a long ginger braid and a big floppy hat. Her broomstick was not just a mode of transport; it was a trusty companion for all her whimsical escapades.
On one starry night, the witch and her faithful cat embarked on an evening flight. The night air was cool, and the shadows of trees danced eerily below them. Suddenly, a gust of wind blew the witch’s hat right off her head!
“Oh no!” cried the witch. “My hat is gone!”
Flitting down to the forest floor, they commenced their search. Along the way, they met a friendly dog.
“Found your hat!” barked the dog.
“Oh, how wonderful! Thank you!” said the witch. “Would you like to join us on our broom?”
“Yes, please,” wagged the dog, hopping on.
And so, with the dog on board, the trio soared into the night sky. But barely had they settled when the wind swooshed once more, sending the witch’s bow tumbling into the trees below.
They landed softly and began scouring the ground, only to find a beautiful, golden-feathered bird perched on a branch with the witch’s bow.
“Here you go,” chirped the bird, dropping the bow into the witch’s hand.
“Why, thank you,” the witch smiled. “Would you care to join our adventure?”
The bird nodded eagerly, finding a cozy spot on the witch’s shoulder. Once again, they were airborne, now a quartet.
But the skies had another plan. Below them, the broom began to wobble and shiver. Before they could comprehend, it snapped in two and sent all four friends tumbling to the ground!
They landed in a swamp, where a frog with shiny green eyes watched them splutter and giggle in the mud.
“Need a hand?” croaked the frog.
“But my broom is ruined!” cried the witch in despair.
“Maybe we can fix it,” suggested the cat.
With everyone’s help, they gathered twigs and reeds, moss and flowers. The frog found some strong vines, and together, they created a new, stronger broomstick.
“Room for everyone!” announced the witch, ecstatic over their teamwork.
Up, up into the starlit sky, they flew on their newly crafted broom. The dog sniffed the breeze, the bird sang a cheerful tune, and the frog leaped with joy, forging a friendship that sparkled brighter than the brightest star.
They soared and glided, their laughter echoing through the night, knowing that every challenge was an adventure waiting to be embraced, especially when faced together.
And so, the witch, her cat, the dog, the bird, and the frog always left room on the broom for a new friend, making every flight an extraordinary journey.
