We're All Wonders
Under a sky dotted with a million stars, a young boy named August, or Auggie as everyone called him, lay in his cozy bedroom. The room was filled with shelves brimming with adventure books, colorful posters, and a telescope pointing out the window towards the night sky. Auggie loved looking at the stars, dreaming about the world beyond. Auggie was a little different from other kids. He had a special helmet that he liked to wear, with a shiny visor that made him feel like an astronaut. With his loyal puppy, Daisy, by his side, Auggie was always ready for a new adventure. “Do you ever wonder, Daisy, if there’s a place where everyone fits in?” Auggie whispered as he gazed at the stars. Suddenly, the room filled with a soft, magical light. Auggie blinked in surprise as a gentle, shimmering beam of light wrapped around him and Daisy, lifting them towards the twinkling stars. In an instant, they found themselves on a strange, colorful planet where everything looked like a fantastical dream. “Welcome to Wonderland!” a cheerful voice called out. Auggie turned to see a group of friendly-looking creatures with big, welcoming eyes and silly smiles. They hopped and skipped towards him, eager to make new friends. “Hi, I’m Auggie, and this is Daisy,” Auggie introduced himself, a little shy but excited. One of the creatures stepped forward. It had bright blue fur and a playful antenna. “I’m Zog! We’ve been waiting for you! Let’s go explore together!” Auggie and Daisy followed Zog and the other creatures through the vibrant landscape. They leaped over rainbow streams, climbed glittering mountains, and slid down slides made of stardust. Everyone laughed and played without a single worry. During their adventures, they came across a mirror hidden behind a sparkling waterfall. Auggie saw his reflection and hesitated. He often felt different because of his face, which wasn’t the same as other kids back home. Zog noticed and placed a gentle paw on Auggie’s shoulder. “You know, Auggie, everyone is different here, and that’s what makes Wonderland so special. You’re a wonder, just like us!” Auggie’s heart filled with warmth. He realized that it didn’t matter if he looked different; what mattered was the kindness he saw in himself and others. He beamed with joy and knew that no matter where he was, he was a wonder. As the day turned to night in Wonderland, the magical light surrounded Auggie and Daisy, bringing them back to his cozy bedroom. Auggie tucked into bed with Daisy snuggled close. “You know what, Daisy?” Auggie said with a sleepy smile. “We’re all wonders.” From that night on, Auggie never doubted the magic he held inside. He understood that being different was a beautiful part of who he was, just like the stars in the sky. And as he drifted off to sleep, he dreamed of new adventures, knowing he was a wonder in every way.
