Perry had wild, curly hair that channeled every stormy idea in his head, Yancey had glasses that seemed to sparkle with every flicker of inspiration, and Charles always carried a sketchbook filled with fantastical creations.
Their favorite place to meet was Perry's attic, a space filled with intriguing objects—shelves overflowing with old books, jars of bottled lightning (or so it looked like!), and maps of places that existed only in dreams. One chilly evening, the friends gathered to discuss the most exciting question in the world: how could everyone turn their dreams into reality?
"Our world needs a Magic Dream Machine," declared Perry, his eyes gleaming under the attic's dim light.
"A place where anyone, even kids like us, can make their wildest ideas come true!" Yancey agreed, his glasses reflecting the flickering candles.
"But how can we build such a machine?" wondered Charles, doodling stars in his sketchbook.
Just then, a gentle tap-tap-tap on the attic window interrupted them. An owl, with feathers that seemed to be dipped in moonlight, perched on the sill. It opened its beak, but instead of hooting, it spoke!
